Signs Your Child Is Copying Answers, Not Learning
A child is copying rather than learning if their homework is always complete and neat but they cannot explain a single answer, if test marks are far below homework marks, or if they freeze when a question is worded slightly differently. This happens when children learn that finishing is rewarded and thinking is not. Finished homework is not the same as learned homework
Many parents judge an afternoon by whether the homework book is complete. A child quickly learns that a full page keeps everyone happy. Where the answers came from becomes secondary, and the fastest route is often a friend's book, a phone, or an adult who simply says the answer.

Why group settings make copying easy
In a class of fifteen doing the same worksheet, the answer is always available somewhere in the room. A tutor who writes the working on the board is, without meaning to, giving fifteen children something to copy. The child who is stuck stays quiet and copies; nobody notices until the exam.

How guided questions rebuild the habit of thinking

FAQ
My child's centre says the homework is always done. Is that not a good sign?
Only if the centre can also tell you what the child understood. Ask for an example of a question the child got wrong that week and how it was handled. A centre that never reports a wrong answer is probably not looking.
Is copying always a problem?
Copying a model for handwriting or spelling practice is fine. Copying answers to comprehension, Maths or membina ayat is the problem, because those are the tasks meant to make the child think.
