How Long Before I See Progress? A Realistic Timeline for Parents
Most parents notice a change in attitude within the first month of 1-to-1 lessons, a measurable jump in word recognition within three months, and a difference in school marks within six months to a year. Months 4 to 12: school notices
School marks are the slowest signal because they measure many things at once. Reading comprehension, Ejaan and 听写 tend to improve first because they sit closest to word recognition. Composition and longer written answers follow later, as the child moves along the path from 词语 to 造句 to 段落.

What slows progress, and what does not
