What you help children achieve

Our Chinese teachers help children climb from 认字 to 词语, 造句, 阅读理解, 段落 and eventually 作文. DuoDuo's proprietary staircase word-recognition system gives each child clear targets: about 150 words at age 4, 500 at age 5 and 1,000 at age 6, ready for Primary 1.

Who suits a 华文老师 role at DuoDuo

You do not need a degree in Chinese literature. You need solid Chinese literacy, patience, and the habit of guiding a child with questions instead of handing over the answer.

• Able to read and write Simplified Chinese comfortably
• Minimum SPM, STPM or Diploma; SPM or STPM Chinese a plus
• Patient and calm with children aged 4 to 12
• Reliable, punctual and willing to follow a structured method
• Fresh graduates, career switchers and returning mothers welcome

The trilingual advantage

Many Malaysian Chinese candidates already use Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia and English every day, and that is a real advantage here. DuoDuo Kidz Academy runs a 1-to-1 Trilingual Language Programme, so teachers who can also support BM or English have more classes and more room to grow.

If your BM or English is only basic, that is fine to start. Many teachers begin with Chinese and add a second language over time, since full training is provided.
